Big Ideas for Businesses

- Increase the company match of a current dollar-for-dollar employee matching gift policy or launch a new program on #GivingTuesday.
- Announce the impact of current corporate giving programs and future commitments, such as cash and non-cash donations, hours volunteered, and program reach.
Have your CEO announce a major commitment on #GivingTuesday
- Commit a portion of company proceeds from Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday to your favorite cause.
- Give employees a paid day to volunteer.
Innovation
- Apply technology solutions to make it easier for employees and customers to give, such as Facebook, reddit Donate, Square, point-of-purchase options, apps.
- Reflect on the “biggest risk” your company has taken in its grantmaking history, and tell the story through a blog post or op-ed piece in a local newspaper.
Partnership
- Have your CEO meet with the head of one of your grantee organizations to discuss progress and goals, and announce a new commitment.
- Host a luncheon of nonprofit leaders in your signature funding area to talk about how the corporate community can help them prepare for oncoming opportunities and challenges.
