African Women’s Development Fund USA
How they are participating
As we kick off this season of giving, we are remembering that Africa has the highest rate of mothers who die in childbirth. In the United States, African-American and African immigrant women of all backgrounds have our country's highest infant and maternal mortality rates.
Join AWDF USA on Giving Tuesday, November 27th for an hour starting at 6:30 PM Eastern, 5:30 PM Central and 3:30 PM Pacific for its Mother Africa Movement Summit (MAAM), a virtual townhall meeting.
Hundreds of mothers and their allies throughout the US and the world will join AWDF USA during MAAM to promote awareness and action to promote child and maternal health.
You will see a short film about the crisis, hear from experts about what's causing this challenge, and learn how you can join AWDF USA to make a difference on this critical issue.
The Giving Tuesday MAAM is the first in a series of forums organized as part of AWDF USA's Mother Africa Campaign to advance African/African diaspora women's issues, leadership and development.
Participating is free of charge. To register, visit https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3871754621752200960click. Then you will receive your secure internet log-in information.
