How they are participating

The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art will raise money for 10,000 7th-graders from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system to visit the museum. Your #GivingTuesday donations can help give Charlotte’s youth a day filled with inspiring art. The Bechtler Museum of Art, the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture and the Mint Museum Uptown are partnering to provide Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools’ 7th-graders with field trips to the three Levine Center for the Arts cultural institutions. At the Bechtler, students will learn about artistic movements such as Cubism and Surrealism as well as academic subjects such as geometry and science.
