How they are participating

As the oldest and largest training and employment center for individuals with disabilities in Oklahoma, we offer holiday gift options through our online store specially packaged or produced by an individual with a disability. People with disabilities continue to experience higher levels of unemployment than those without disabilities. All proceeds from the products sold in our online store go back into the Dale Rogers Training Center programs. Through our programs, we train or employ over 1200 individuals with disabilities. We will be encouraging others to participate in #GivingTuesday, providing the option to purchase a quality gift while also giving back. The production and sales of these products provides people with disabilities a paycheck for their hard work. Pay day is a special day around here; the morale could not be higher. Through #GivingTuesday, we will be able to raise awareness for our mission and provide holiday gift options that benefit a great cause. We will promote #GivingTuesday through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, e-mail blasts and our blog. Everyone has one person on their holiday shopping list that seemingly has everything and needs nothing. Our beautifully packaged Prairie Spice sets make the perfect holiday gift, even for those hard-to-buy-for loved ones. Each spice set contains a note from the person with a disability that packaged it. Dale Rogers Training Center, Inc. supports people with disabilities through paid vocational training, in-house programs and work opportunities as well as competitive community employment. As we approach our 60th year, we continue to blaze trails and build independence. Please visit our website and online store for more information. www.drtc.org and www.drtc.org/commerce
