How they are participating

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. This year help create GivingTuesday, the giving season’s opening day. On Tuesday November 27, 2012 charities, families, businesses and individuals are coming together to transform the way people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.

We are asking all our supporters to tell 5 people about the great educational and healthcare programs the EAC has been providing in Takaungu, Kenya for over 10 years. Please take the time to post on Facebook, Twitter, or send an email spreading the word about the EAC and why YOU have been supporting the EAC. Feel free to use the paragraph below and spread some holiday cheer and good will!

The East African Center describes their work as empowering women and children, providing assistance to communities and resources for people to make a difference in their own lives, and ensuring access to resources and tools for change. The EAC's multi-faceted development approach is community driven, low-tech and sustainable in the long run. It is targeted specifically to the local community's needs and guided every step of the way by the community that they serve.

I support the EAC because...
