How they are participating

The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries is dedicated to strengthening and supporting the work of animal sanctuaries and rescue centers worldwide. With the help of a #GivingTuesday grant awarded by Arcus Foundation, GFAS will launch an awareness campaign highlighting the work done by sanctuaries in Asia caring for apes. GFAS will also launch a fundraising campaign, using the Arcus funds as a matching grant, to raise funds that will be awarded to these organizations in order to help them to become GFAS accredited or GFAS verified. These GFAS certifications tell donors that the organizations meet standards of excellence in animal care and that they are true sanctuaries that can be trusted.
