Of the nearly 190 million older people who live in poverty - more than 100 million live on less than $1 day. HelpAge is the only global organization focused solely on advocating for disadvantaged older people, empowering them to claim their rights to health care, social services and economic security. Most people forget about older people in developing countries - our grandparents and backbones of societies - even though they are the one of the most vulnerable populations in the world. On Giving Tuesday, any donation made to HelpAge USA will go directly to the world's poorest seniors - so that they too can enjoy their holiday season.
