How they are participating

IDA-Africa provides sanctuary in Cameroon for chimpanzee orphans of the illegal bush meat trade. We are working to solve the root of the problem through national and international awareness, while promoting social and cultural conditions that will ensure great apes survive and thrive in their natural habitats. IDA-Africa hopes that through our partnership with Giving Tuesday we will not only successfully reach our fundraising goal, but expand our supporter base (particularly locally) and raise awareness nationally. We will utilize the powerful day of action by combining Giving Tuesday, our annual appeal letter and a collaborative effort with Laughing Planet Cafe, a local restaurant chain, who has invited us to table and will donate a percentage of the proceeds from their seven locations on November 27th.
