A pandemic of diabetes is sweeping the world, now afflicting nearly 26 million people in the United States alone and 366 million worldwide. Prevalence rates are expected to double by the year 2030. At Joslin Diabetes Center we work relentlessly to improve the lives of all people with diabetes and provide the greatest hope for a cure. Only at Joslin, where world-class researchers, clinicians, and educators join forces in a multidisciplinary approach can progress have an impact each and every day. November is National Diabetes Awareness Month and Joslin Diabetes Center is planning to raise greater awareness of diabetes through events, emails, and social media, with #GivingTuesday featured as a day to give back and help us realize our vision of a world without diabetes.
