The Maine Public Broadcasting Network is very pleased to be part of the #GivingTuesday initiative and help celebrate the great tradition of generosity that runs deep across Maine and the rest of the nation. We will concurrently be raising funds during our Television Pledge Drive by inviting our viewers, listeners, and existing members to show their support for our television programming -- programs that educate, inform, entertain, and inspire our entire state and beyond. We are spreading the word about #GivingTuesday through our social media channels and over our airwaves. MPBN Radio's Maine Calling on 11.27 will focus on philanthropy - both on a personal level and from a corporate perspective. Our guests will include Laura Young, Vice President of Philanthropy at the Maine Community Foundation; Adam Tuchinsky, Associate Dean, College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences & Associate Professor of History at the University of Southern Maine; and Yellow Light Breen, Executive Vice President at Bangor Savings Bank.
