How they are participating

The mission of the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) is to be the national advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The National Down Syndrome Society envisions a world in which all people with Down syndrome have the opportunity to enhance their quality of life, realize their life aspirations, and become valued members of welcoming communities.

NDSS invites supporters to donate $21 -- symbolic of the third copy of chromosome 21 in Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) -- as a tribute or end of the year gift. The campaign will be promoted on Facebook and Twitter and will occupy the NDSS home page for the day. NDSS Celebrity Ambassadors will be asked to tweet and post their support using the campaign hashtag.
