How they are participating

Peace Winds America (PWA) is raising funds to support disaster recovery in northeast Japan. During the month of November, the Global Giving Foundation will match all donations made to the “Building Work Space For Fishing Families In Japan” project (http://tinyurl.com/8akqlxx). This project provides work sheds that fishing families need to regain their livelihoods and return to work. PWA is targeting families that lost their homes in the 2011 tsunami.

Peace Winds America is disaster preparedness and response nonprofit focused on the Asia Pacific, the most disaster-prone region in the world. PWA programs reduce the effects of natural disasters before and after they strike.
