How they are participating

Project GET SAFE is launching a month-long fundraising initiative to raise awareness in the community! We plan on both asking for general donations, as well as providing our donors a list of needed items that they can purchase on #GivingTuesday and donate to Project GET SAFE (i.e. new self-defense equipment, laptops, etc.) We will also offer our donors the opportunity to purchase certain "packages" to donate to a specific population we serve (i.e. an "Empowerment Package" for $100 to sponsor a mother at a local women's shelter to take our recovery training.) Our outreach will include e-newsletters, call-downs to our donors, and fun video campaigns to get people excited for Nov. 27. As we are located just a few miles from South Coast Plaza, the Irvine Spectrum, and other well-known shopping centers, we'll also be reaching out to local stores to see if they'll sponsor Project GET SAFE on Nov. 27, as well as get our GET SAFE team out to the malls to spread the word on #GivingTuesday.
