How they are participating

Samahope uses the power of the Internet to fund life-saving surgeries and health interventions in poor parts of the world. Millions of women and children suffer from treatable medical conditions but lack the funds to undergo corrective surgery. The world’s poorest 1/3 receive only 3.5% of all the surgeries performed worldwide. Local clinics, hospitals and medical charities try to fill this “surgical gap” with volunteer doctors from overseas and by training local medical talent and health workers, but must raise their own funds. Samahope partners with local charity hospitals and global health organizations with a track record of excellent care and fiscal discipline.
