The ALS Association Golden West Chapter
How they are participating
The ALS Association Golden West Chapter is dedicated to leading the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while empowering people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support in 31 counties throughout California. Although we have made enormous strides in advancing research, care services, and public policy initiatives, three facts remain:
* Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS.
* Every 90 minutes someone succumbs to Lou Gehrig’s disease.
* There is no known cause and no known cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
One of our Chapter members shared this insight:
“When I was diagnosed with ALS, I asked myself, ‘Why me?’ Now I realize that my answer is ‘So I can help others.’”
Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to philanthropy and the spirit of giving. This year, on Tuesday November 27, we ask that you renew your commitment to our shared mission by making a tax-deductible gift to The ALS Association Golden West Chapter. Help us fund our mission-critical priorities serving people living with Lou Gehrig's disease in 31 California counties.
Your generous donation, in any amount, is greatly appreciated, and will make a difference. It is only together that we will defeat ALS.
