How they are participating

The Arts Commission is challenging supporters to help fund our award-winning Young Artists at Work (YAAW) program. This program offers paid summer employment to diverse and at-risk youth, providing an intensive six-week apprenticeship where area high school students learn a variety of art, writing, interpersonal, and job training skills that will impact them through life. Funds will help to secure an additional $10,000 in matching funds from the Frederick S. Upton Foundation for the summer 2013 program.
