Show us your Giving Heart by donating to The Fishing School(TFS) today! Founded 23 years ago by Tom Lewis, TFS currently serves 310 underserved youth and their families in DC by providing a safe haven and academic support. Our name comes from the adage, "If you give a man a fish, you will feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will feed himself for a lifetime." By teaching youth to fish in the rivers of their minds, TFS is changing generations. Our mission is achieved by providing after-school and summer programming by focusing on: (1) academics, (2) wellness, (3) parental and school engagement, (4) enrichment, and (5) life-skills.
