How they are participating

Westport Country Playhouse is a nationally recognized nonprofit theater that relies on charitable contributions to support its work on stage, with schools, and in the community. Donations received during Giving Tuesday will be used to fund the Playhouse’s five-play season of “Theater Worth Talking About” productions; student matinees, serving 3,000 youngsters annually; educator workshops that are free to the region’s teachers; Together at the Table Family Dinners, productions plus dinner, all for $10 for each family member; and symposia, talkbacks, and literary salons, open to the public free-of-charge to enrich the theater-going experience. We will promote this campaign through Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, and other social media outlets, and by encouraging Playhouse supporters to help build awareness.
