How they are participating

Wilderness Volunteers is a nationally recognized designated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission of stewardship of America's wild lands through organizing and promoting volunteer service in cooperation with public land agencies. In our 15 year history, WV has completed more than 500 needed projects across the wild lands of the US, contributing well over $4.5 million in volunteer labor.


Wilderness Volunteers' spring 2013 season has recently been posted and in early December the summer/fall 2013 schedule will be posted as well. To mark the inaugural #GivingTuesday, WV will be sharing stories and photos of trip successes, encouraging signups and participation in service projects and fundraising to ensure stability for the organization into the future.
