How they are participating

You’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year for #GivingTuesday, the JCCSF is inviting the San Francisco community to give back in various ways. In the JCC’s public atrium at 3200 California Street, volunteers of all ages will be packing a variety of give-away backpacks for the homeless of San Francisco. Backpacks contain hygiene kits, food, cold-weather clothing, and school supplies. Each backpack will contain a handmade holiday card created on #GivingTuesday by children from our pre-school. The JCCSF’s #GivingTueday is part of our “Repair the World” programming efforts which center around volunteer initiatives and community leadership.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” –Anne Frank.
