How they are participating

Kids Hope USA is an organization based in West Michigan with six other locations nationwide. We partner public elementary schools with local churches in order to provide screened and trained mentors to at-risk children. A mentor meets with one child each week for one hour at the elementary school. They are able to build a caring relationship and provide support for the child academically, emotionally or socially.

Currently, there are over 2,000 active mentoring relationships just in the West Michigan area. That does not include the 33 other states that also participate in the Kids Hope USA program and mentoring model.

With over 15 Million children in the United States who could benefit from having a loving and faithful mentor, there is still an incredible need. We are asking our donors to give a gift of $4 in order to support a mentoring hour for one child.
