How they are participating

At the start of this year’s holiday season, Panthera is excited to be a part of #GivingTuesday - a national day of giving that encourages charitable activities supporting nonprofits.

Founded in 2006, Panthera, is devoted exclusively to the conservation of the world's wild cats and their ecosystems. Panthera has brought together the world’s leading wild cat experts to implement effective conservation strategies for the world’s largest and most endangered cats: tigers, lions, jaguars and snow leopards.

From illegal poaching to habitat loss, wild cats are facing urgent threats. Your contribution will help Panthera find the most effective ways to stop their decline, and ensure they remain in the wild, forever.

On #GivingTuesday, December 3rd, a generous group of donors have agreed to match donations to Panthera up to $170,000, doubling the impact of your contribution! Help us raise over $340,000 on this one day where 100% of these donations will go directly to the field, where it matters most, to support Panthera’s on-the-ground wild cat conservation work.

We are able to make this promise because our overhead and administrative expenses are covered by Mrs. Daphne Recanati Kaplan and Dr. Thomas S. Kaplan, Panthera’s Founder and Chairman.
