How they are participating

The Sierra Club Foundation’s goal is to end our reliance on dirty fossil fuels; reverse the social, economic, and environmental damage caused by global climate change; restore, connect, and protect healthy ecosystems so that wildlife and wilderness can thrive; and successfully transition to a clean, green, renewable energy economy that better serves people and nature.

We will achieve this goal through partnerships with donors that align financial resources with strategically focused campaigns designed to build capacity in the environmental movement and engage a broad spectrum of allied organizations around shared values and goals. Funds are raised for tax-exempt charitable purposes and we preserve, enhance, and administer these funds so that future generations will inherit a healthy planet with wild places left to explore.

As the fiscal sponsor of the charitable programs of the Sierra Club, we provide resources to it and other nonprofit organizations to support charitable scientific, educational, literary, organizing, advocacy, and legal programs that further The Sierra Club Foundation's mission.
