How they are participating

World Relief DuPage/Aurora [WRDA] is a faith-based relief and development organization committed to serving the most vulnerable through the local church. An arm of an international organization, WRDA focuses on serving the foreign-born by providing Refugee Resettlement and Immigration Legal Services.

Because refugees arrive in this country with very little, a Good Neighbor Kit [GNK] provides them with all the small household items they desperately need—and conveys a tangible “welcome” that transcends all language barriers. A GNK contains basic household necessities and personal hygiene products.

This year on #GivingTuesday, WRDA is calling their neighbors to action by holding a GNK Donation Drive. During the month of November, WRDA will distribute empty paper bags, along with a list of GNK items.

On #GivingTuesday, we ask that donated items be placed in the bag and brought to a designated drop-off location. A List of needed items and local drop-off locations can be found at http://worldreliefdupage.org/good-neighbor-kits/
