In 2012 we had more than 2,000 recognized #GivingTuesday™ partners from all 50 states of the United States.  They were either registered charities [a 501(c)3] with a specific #GivingTuesday initiative, or they are for-profit businesses, schools, religious or community groups who committed to spearhead a project that will benefit at least one 501(c)3.

#GivingTuesday is  an umbrella under which  many exciting projects take place!  We are not a funding organization and each partner organization is responsible for its own initiative.

We invite you to contact us here for more information. Meanwhile, please read on for ways you can support a #GivingTuesday action now! What will YOU give on #GivingTuesday?

  • Camp Southern Ground

    Nonprofit

Camp Southern Ground is the passion project of GRAMMY-Award winning musician Zac Brown. Currently in the development phase, the camp is being designed for youth, ages 7-17, of diverse abilities, socioeconomic backgrounds, race and religion to come together to learn life skills and teamwork in a positive, healthy and organic environment.

One of the only camps of it’s kind, the programs and activities will mainstream typical peers with children with special needs, realizing the importance of teaching campers to share their similarities and appreciate their differences.

And especially for those children with special needs such as Autism, Camp Southern Ground is specifically designed to offer a traditional camp experience to those children who might not otherwise get that opportunity.

To date, Zac and his wife Shelly have generously purchased almost 500 acres of land in Fayetteville, GA, and hired Perkins and Will architects to design the camp buildings and related areas.

Our goal now is to start the capital campaign to execute the vision and open the camp as soon as possible so we can begin creating those unforgettable childhood experiences.

We have partnered with #GivingTuesday because we wholeheartedly believe in giving and giving back to make a difference.

  • STAR House Foundation

    Nonprofit

Since 1993, STAR House Foundation has been to this same ideal: Mold children into thoughtful leaders, and they will make their mark on those around them. The students served by STAR House are at-risk students due to academic troubles, disengagement, or pressures from peers. STAR House provides a safe place where students can connect to peers and adult teachers/mentors. STAR House assists its participants with homework, school projects, test preparation, and reinforces good study habits. We believe that this opportunity will aid students in making good life choices that will keep them on the path to success after high school graduation. STAR House’s unique approach provides support to a student from kindergarten to high school graduation. We serve over 250 children four local schools k-12. STAR House is able to provide for our current students due to the generous support of time and money from our community. As we continue to move our mission forward we will be addressing a strategic plan that includes expanding to another high school feeder system. This plan will ensure sustainable and continued support for those students. We have experienced tremendous success but there is demand that STAR House cannot currently meet. STAR House must place children on wait lists in our current schools and there are schools calling to implement a STAR House program on their campus. These unmet needs are unfortunate. But there is one thing that we can clearly decipher from this fact. STAR House is indeed a solution. But this solution needs your help. Your contribution to STAR House will make a difference in our community in the short and long run.

X3 Foundation works to further its mission to provide at-risk youth with resources, services, and support to transform their lives, achieve their highest potential and develop as positive role models and leaders thus creating a better self, community, and world. X3 Foundation links academic, athletic, and artistic opportunities; mentoring; and health, fitness, and wellness for Atlanta’s most at-risk population – our youth – by financially supporting opportunities for participation in programs that place an importance on youth development and an active, rich lifestyle. Our goal is to create a fund that ensures no teen will be denied the opportunity to pursue and realize his or her dream and leadership potential. Access to sponsored extracurricular opportunities promotes personal growth, sound emotional and physical health, educational success, and, ultimately, achievement of life goals as youth transition into adulthood. Our program offerings cast a community-wide net of learning opportunities, interactions, and activities, building a foundation for establishing successful adult behaviors. High-quality, accessible programs are essential for strong communities. Positive opportunities and experiences offered to youth not only strength our communities today, they give rise to adults who give back to their communities in the future. At X3 Foundation, we believe when our youth succeed, we all succeed. For Giving Tuesday we are planning an online fundraising campaign. We will utilize social media avenues to promote the importance of philanthropy and giving back.
