Varsha, who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, had to fight for her right to finish school and pursue higher education. She hails from a village where there is a marked difference between the educational opportunities that are available to men and women. She believes that helping women access avenues of higher education will help them gain respect and will enable them to pursue their dreams. As a first step, she has already, after much opposition and strife, started a library for women in her village.
