Agbara Fund is the first fund for black women in Brazil, with a mission to leverage the greatest number of black women’s initiatives, enabling financial and emotional independence. Nurturing black and indigenous women’s projects is important not only to combat systemic racism that deprives them of access but also to reinvigorate these women’s self-esteem, help them gain financial independence so that they can, for example, free themselves from abusive relationships and cycles of violence in their intimate lives, in addition to encouraging their dreams.
