Nikola Markovic is a 19-year-old year student in Kraljevo, Serbia. Driven by equality and justice, he has created numerous projects working toward healthcare and education reform. Nikola is creating a program that pairs young people with seniors to meet, spend time, and learn from each other. With two vastly different lifestyles, this program would aim to “build a bridge of understanding between the two, where both parties teach something they find important.”
Nikola is also a member of the Serbian National Team for American Football, and the speaking captain for his local club, which cultivated his teamwork and leadership skills. A National Honor Society member, and community service practitioner, he hopes his experience in the Starling Collective will help him develop the leadership skills to create lasting change.
