Archana is from Uttar Pradesh and is the President of her Gram Panchayat’s Mahila Mangal Dal (Village The Council’s Women’s Group). A moment that still stays with her is the time when she helped stop a wedding, with the help of the local police, because a young 15-year-old girl was being married off forcibly. Now, with the tools and resources available through the Starling India Collective, she hopes to help women in a different way – by spreading awareness around menstrual health and by providing easily accessible & affordable cloth pads to women in her community.
