Karin has been the GivingTuesday Tanzania Global leader since 2016 and works for Foundation for Civil Society (FCS), an independent Tanzanian not-for-profit development organization that provides grants and capacity building services to Tanzanian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

The project looks into documenting and sharing stories of giving and generosity for inspiration. The stories are then used by volunteers, community philanthropists, civil society organizations and communities to inspire giving, generosity and to build a more generous and resilient community during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The organizations, community philanthropists and networks are deeply rooted in their communities and can influence communities to engage in new and participatory ways on generosity and resilience.
