Youth Around the World Collaborated to Inspire Generosity Through the #PartnerInKind Challenge

29 Mar 2022 by GivingTuesday

In order to reduce feelings of isolation, boost their mental health, and connect with fellow do-gooders, the GivingTuesday Spark leaders created the #PartnerInKindChallenge.

Spark leaders partnered up virtually to create an act of generosity that encompassed the causes they’re each passionate about. Each pair received $100 from GivingTuesday to help them complete their projects. Here are some of their creative collaborations:

Justin is passionate about helping the planet and Benjamin is determined to give young people the skills they need to reach their goals. They decided to donate the book What Do You Do With An Idea? to 10 classrooms. Each class will get a follow up zoom class with Justin and Benjamin with a Q&A on how they can spark kindness and generosity into the world and the tools they need to get started and grow their own social change ideas.

Sammie is passionate about combating loneliness and Lucy is out to spread love through warm blankets. Together they delivered smile heart squishes and cards of encouragement to local organizations that can hand them out to kids that need something to brighten their day. “It can be tough being a kid in this crazy world of ours and their hope is that this small gesture will remind them that someone cares.”

Khloe gives tote bags full of toiletries to women in need and Liana is passionate about helping animals. They decided to create tote bags filled with toys, treats and bandannas to bring to animal shelters in their respective cities. “We combined our logos “small acts of kindness” and “ be the change” to create “small acts of kindness create change” which we put on the tote bag to inspire others,” says Liana
